| WHOM MEMBERS LEARN FROM? |
 |
Children have always been impressionable, but there was a time that the teaching influences that children were exposed to were limited to the home, extended family members and friends, the neighbors or trusted members of their community, teachers, the friendly police officer and the local church elders.
Today children are exposed to so many internal and external influences coming at them from so many directions and in so many ways that it’s impossible for parents and teachers at school to monitor, block, filter and in many cases just keep children safely away from the bad influences while trying to decide which truly are safe and appropriate for children to be exposed to.
Since it is virtually impossible to completely shield and protect today’s children form each and every negative and inappropriate influence, it is more important than ever for parents, teachers and other positive influences in a child’s life to best prepare them and teach them how to make the right and most informed decisions in their lives and when to just stay away or to just say no to inappropriate influences when confronted by them.
Today’s schools throughout the world are facing dire shortages of enough qualified teachers. Many schools are starting to overcome these shortages by adopting e-Learning platforms at their schools. This relatively new approach in K-12 education is proving to be quite effective, but at the present time the cost and expertise needed to successfully adopt e-Learning platforms on a mass scale is still making this type of education out of the reach of the majority of schools. But due to recent technological advances, an increase in the availability, the amount of and quality of e-Learning content, live support and a dramatic decrease in the cost to either deploy an e-Learning platform or for a student or a school to utilize a 3rd party e-Learning platform; things are definitely changing and changing rather quickly!
